Communicating with our residents

How we communicate with residents is really important to us. We are always working to let residents know about what we are doing for local communities, provide updates on vital services and help you better understand how the council operates and the decisions we take.

Our communications team focuses on:

  • Supporting the media with enquires and issuing media releases
  • Providing professional help and advice to senior officers and councillors
  • Managing a wide range of communications and marketing campaigns
  • Telling the council's story through a rich variety of engaging content across multiple social media channels
  • Engaging with our housing tenants through various forms of online and offline communications, including our magazine, 'Tenant Voice'
  • Developing and maintaining the council's website
