Community engagement with local development
We have to produce a statement of community involvement (SCI) and keep it up-to-date. The SCI sets out:

how we will consult and engage with the community during the preparation, production and implementation of local plans, including the Strategic and Local Plan, and supplementary planning documents

how we will consult the community and stakeholders on planning applications and related development management processes
Cheltenham's first SCI was adopted in October 2006.
